Even though a lot of people miss his old stuff from A->B Life, he said a recent interview in Louisville my friend went to that he’ll never perform any A->B stuff live again because all that music was inspired from a time when his faith was very confused and angry. He said he was ashamed of it almost and won’t perform it anymore.

Some bands just “get it”. and they, not only “get it”, they made it.

I think they are still unique. It’s just a change that they wanted to go through. The main thing about being a musician is you should play what you love. I guess he just started wanting to more acoustic stuff. I listen to a lot of death metal and hardcore and shit and old mewithoutyou was a transition for me in a way but I love their acoustic stuff now. It’s just somethign to listen to when I’m really calm or tired.

they still are VERY unique poeticsuicde… but the only thing is they take “unique” to a whole new level of uniqueness in music that i dont think happens very often. not only are they a unique band amongst every band out there, but every new album that they come out with has been unique from the last album… and still sounding amazing along the way

I think that’s what happens with most musicians. They get older, mature, and just aren’t as angsty as they once were. Maybe it is just because I am getting older along with the band but I think I may have liked each album progressively more. They each betray a depth that isn’t apparent on the first listen.

I like the difference in the real lyrics and the ones performed in this version.

Maybe we should all go do really mean things to him so he gets sad again and writes even better music.
