How Long After Taking Real Estate Classes Do I Have To Take The Exam In California?

I want to take my classes for a real estate license well im still in community college, but have another year before I get my bachelor’s degree. So I would have taken classes in Fall 2009 and spring 2010 but would not want to get my license or take the exam until the summer of 2011. Does anyone know of a time constraint that the DRE has?

I am planning to get my California real estate License by taking the required classes in a community college. Do they really focus on what will be on the test like a private real estate class would? Do you recommend I take this class?

I am currently still in high school, and was wondering if i could take the classes to start the process of getting my real estate license. I want to sell real estate on the side. Kind of like a fall back position. Tell me what you think. Oh, and the state I want my license in is California.
