I am looking into changing careers and do have an interest in real estate. Does anyone do this for a living or know if real estate agents get paid a salary at all or if everything is solely based on commissions from selling a house.

I’m planning to sell my home. I’m planning to work with a real estate agent that was referred to me through the internet, who will get a 6% commission upon sale of my home. I want to know if this is a normal rate or is it too high?
Basically I want to know if I should look for another agent who charges a lesser commission rate or stick with this one.

I am planning to reactivate my real estate license in Ohio and looking for a brokerage to work under. I have recently heard that there are brokerages offering 100% commission with no transaction fees while only charging the agent a flat monthly fee. Real Estate Broker Made A False Report To The Commission About Me?

My busines partner and Broker made a false report to the real estate Commission about me as an excuse to take over my business and drop my license. I have proof that everything he said was false and the commission agrees. Can I sue him for making a false report or should I just make a complaint to the board.

After the sale of a home, let’s say a real estate company gets 3%. What percentage of that 3% does the agent typically get from the broker if the agent made the sale? This should be answered preferably by an agent, and in California if that makes a difference! What would be an ideal percentage of that 3% for new agents, and when should an agent get a raise?
