OK I am 19 years old, want to get my real estate license. But I have a criminal adult misdemeanor charge. It is possession of cannibus. Should I think twice before doing real estate or will I be ok. Also, what is the average amount to take the real estate classes and get licensing?

The criminal background check is impotant since a realtor can have access to different property and the owners trust a realtor to protect their belongings.The time frame for license depends on the person and it can be from 2 months up.good luck

You can get your license with the misdemeanor. However, getting a broker to hire a druggie might be harder.

if not a felony then it is ok.
$300 for class and exam.
